Marriage-based green cards

A green card through marriage is a petition, a set of supporting evidence and, usually, an interview. Each piece has to tell the same story. We prepare the whole file with you and get you ready for the interview.

Who we help

  • U.S. citizens sponsoring a spouse in the United States or abroad
  • Green card holders sponsoring a spouse
  • Couples where one spouse is in the U.S. on an E-2, J-1, F-1, H-1B or other visa
  • Couples who received a Request for Evidence (RFE) and need help responding

How we handle it

  1. Consultation

We review your status history, your relationship timeline and any past filings, and tell you which path fits: adjustment of status inside the U.S. or consular processing abroad.

  2. Evidence plan

You get a document checklist built for your case: identity and civil documents, proof of a bona fide marriage, and the sponsor's financial support (Form I-864).

  3. Filing

We prepare and file the I-130 petition, and when eligible the I-485, I-765 work permit and I-131 travel document together.

  4. Interview preparation

We walk both spouses through the questions officers commonly ask and review your file with you before the interview.

  5. Decision and next steps

If the green card is conditional (marriage under two years at approval), we calendar the I-751 window so it is not missed.

What clients say

Hiring Volkan and his team was one of the best decisions we made this year. Going into my husband's green card process, I was honestly nervous. Switching from an E-2 visa through marriage felt overwhelming, and we didn't know what to expect. Oğuz and Deniz kept us informed the whole way, and nothing ever felt rushed or confusing. Whenever I reached out with a worry, I got a quick, kind response. Their attention to detail showed in every document they put together. The results speak for themselves: our case was approved the day after our interview. I can't put into words how relieved and happy we are. If you need an immigration team you can trust, look no further. Thank you, Volkan, Oğuz and Deniz! ❤️

Common questions

Can I apply for a green card if I entered the U.S. on a visa?

Often yes. The spouse of a U.S. citizen who was inspected and admitted or paroled can usually adjust status inside the U.S., even in some cases after the visa expired. Other rules apply to spouses of green card holders and to people who entered without inspection. A consultation is the way to know where you stand.

Do we both have to attend the interview?

In most adjustment cases, USCIS schedules both spouses. Some cases are approved without an interview. We prepare you either way.

What is a conditional green card?

If you have been married less than two years when the green card is approved, you receive a two-year conditional card. You then file Form I-751 in the 90 days before it expires to remove the conditions.
