Removing conditions on residence
A two-year green card based on a recent marriage expires unless you file Form I-751 in the 90 days before the expiration date. The filing needs fresh evidence that the marriage is real and continuing, or a waiver if it ended.
Who we help
- Conditional residents filing jointly with their spouse
- Conditional residents whose marriage ended in divorce, who need a waiver
- Conditional residents facing abuse or extreme hardship
How we handle it
-
Timing
We calendar your 90-day filing window from the date on your card.
-
Evidence
We build evidence of the shared life since your green card: joint finances, lease or deed, insurance, children's records and affidavits.
-
Filing
We file the I-751 jointly or with the waiver that applies. The receipt notice extends your status while the case is pending.
-
Interview, if scheduled
We prepare you if USCIS calls you in.
What clients say
We have been working with Volkan Bey for about 4 years. He has supported us throughout every stage of my immigration process, starting from my 2-year Green Card application and continuing through the 10-year renewal process. He has always been extremely attentive, supportive, and dedicated. He is a highly experienced, knowledgeable, and trustworthy attorney who truly inspires confidence. Beyond his professional expertise, what really stands out is his accessibility, his clear explanations at every step, and his reassuring approach, which always made the process much easier and less stressful for us. We have also confidently recommended him to many of our friends and acquaintances, and every single one of them has been very satisfied with his services. No one had any issues; on the contrary, all of them shared very positive feedback. He always handled our files with exceptional care and attention to detail. He is a truly professional and reliable attorney who does his job with great integrity. I wholeheartedly and without any hesitation recommend him.
Us citizen here, they helped me and my wife get her green card, prepared all the paperwork, worked with us step by step, and helped literally every step of the way! We were well prepared for our interview and had no issues at all during the process. In fact, they had us overly prepared! Will reach out again for 10 year GC.
Mr. Anik has been my lawyer since day one, and I couldn’t have asked for better representation. When the Trump administration changed immigration policies, I was among the first group directly affected. I received a deportation letter giving me only 15 days to leave the country—but Mr. Anik stepped in and helped me secure my first 2-year green card. I continued working with him throughout my entire immigration journey, all the way through my naturalization. Even though we were in different states, it never affected the quality of service. His team is very organized and professional. Ms. Irem was always available when I needed support during the process, and Mr. Anik was very responsive to emails and legal concerns. Thanks to his guidance and dedication, I am now a U.S. citizen. I’m truly grateful for everything. God bless America 🇺🇸

Common questions
What if I miss the 90-day window?
Your conditional status can end automatically. A late filing must explain the reason for the delay. Contact a lawyer right away.
We are divorcing. Can I still keep my green card?
Possibly. You can file the I-751 with a waiver showing the marriage was entered in good faith. Divorce cases need careful evidence.
